With flair and imagination, The Baptist’s renowned Executive Chef Tony Fleming is re-igniting the great tradition of the British grill. Part of a generation of fast-rising stars in the London restaurant scene, Tony, who originally hails from Cambridge, worked for Marco Pierre White before becoming Head Chef at Sir Terrance Conran’s Great Eastern Hotel and later taking his first Executive Chef role at highly acclaimed One Aldwych. He joined The Baptist after gaining a Michelin Star for the Angler restaurant.

About Us

​Grade II listed, The Baptist was created by meticulously restoring the site of the former London headquarters of the Baptist church built between 1901 and 1903 by the architect Arthur Keen. After being damaged by a bomb in World War II, it was closed to churchgoers before redevelopment began in 2012.
